Hi, I'm Gretchin! I'm a Graphic Designer and Amateur Photographer from Vermont.I work in a cube-farm by day and take on freelance design projects by night!
In 2005, I attained my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Multimedia from Champlain College. I began interning in the college's marketing department and was hired as a Graphic Designer after graduating.
I then began looking for full time work and was happy to find a small design house in Stowe, Vermont. I worked there for 5 years, designing textbooks and other educational materials for clients such as Scholastic, McGraw Hill, Houghton Mifflin, Kaplan, and Vista Higher Learning.
I soon noticed that small businesses weren't holding up with the current state of the economy and found a more secure job at a company that publishes medical print materials. It seems that there are always a need for those! The security of that job paired with the creativity of some occasional freelance design and photography jobs, as well as writing for my blog, was the perfect balance for me.
Once settled, I began working toward my most challenging goal yet -- raising a little human being! In 2012, I was blessed with a beautiful baby girl.
Now, my goal is to make more money doing freelance work to support this child's Ben & Jerry's habit! Ok, and mine too!
